cPanel: How to Create a MySQL User and Assign it to a Database




For this article, we will assume that you are already logged into cPanel.

1) Click the MySQL Databases link from the Databases section of the panel.

2) In the Add New User section, enter the username and password you wish to use for the new MySQL user.

3) Click the Create User button

4) Once the user has been added, we need to connect it to a database. We can also do this on the MySQL database page we visited in step 1. Select the user we just created and select the database you wish to add the user to. Once both are selected, click the Add button.

5) Select the privileges you wish this user to have (in most situations All Privileges is peaceable). Once you are finished making your selection, click Make Changes
